Voice of Disabled
A Strong Voice  for Disability Rights

Voice of Disabled (Registration No: KSR/CA/437/2018) is a registered state-level organization established in 2018 with the mission of protecting the rights of persons with disabilities and ensuring equal opportunities in every aspect of life. The organization functions across Kerala through active district committees and various sub-committees, representing 21 categories of persons with disabilities and their parents.

The organization is committed to promoting equality, inclusion, accessibility, dignity, and justice for persons with disabilities in the areas of education, employment, healthcare, transportation, public services, and social participation.

Since its establishment, Voice of Disabled has submitted more than 500 complaints, petitions, representations, and legal notices to the Government of India, the Government of Kerala, and various public authorities to address issues affecting persons with disabilities and to ensure the effective implementation of disability rights and welfare measures.

In addition to rights-based advocacy, the organization has actively promoted self-employment, skill development, vocational training, entrepreneurship, legal awareness, and community empowerment for persons with disabilities. Through awareness campaigns, workshops, legal interventions, and capacity-building initiatives, it has worked to improve the quality of life and independence of thousands of persons with disabilities.

Voice of Disabled has also organized numerous protests, dharnas, public campaigns, and advocacy programs at the Secretariat, Collectorate, and Panchayat levels to demand policy reforms, accessibility, equal opportunities, and the effective implementation of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

Since the formation of the organization in 2018, Mr. Sooraj P.A. has been serving as the General Secretary, providing visionary leadership and driving the organization's mission across Kerala. Under his leadership, the organization has strengthened its advocacy efforts, empowered thousands of persons with disabilities, and established itself as a trusted platform for disability rights and social inclusion.

Today, Voice of Disabled is more than an organization—it is a growing movement dedicated to ensuring that every person with a disability enjoys equal rights, dignity, accessibility, and opportunities. Through continuous advocacy, legal action, awareness, and community participation, the organization remains committed to building a truly inclusive society where no one is left behind.
